Mr. Jeelani Baig holds a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Karachi and brings over 47 years of experience in tyre design, development, and manufacturing. Since joining General Tyre in 1978, he has been instrumental in the company’s technical and operational growth, leading key initiatives such as the commissioning of Bias, Radial, Agricultural, and Motorcycle tyre plants.

He introduced several pioneering technologies in Pakistan, including rear farm tyres, radial steel-belted tubeless passenger and van tyres, Formula 3 race car tyres, and motorcycle tubeless tyres. His leadership was central to GTR’s major plant expansion in the 1980s and the establishment of new production lines over the years.

Mr. Baig has received international training in tyre design and manufacturing from renowned organizations such as General Tyre International (USA), Continental Tyres (Germany and Czech Republic) and Toyo (Japan), and has worked closely with OEMs like Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, Kia, and Hyundai on new product development.

Previously serving as Executive Director Works, he now continues to support GTR as Manufacturing Advisor, ensuring continued technical excellence and operational efficiency. His dedication and vision remain integral to the company’s sustained success. Recognized as the most experienced professional in Pakistan tyre industry.

Siraj Lawai, a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Ghandhara Tyre & Rubber Company Limited (GTR) since March 2018, bringing over 22 years of post-qualification experience in financial leadership.

With a strong background in the manufacturing sector, he has held key roles at renowned multinationals including GlaxoSmithKline Pakistan, Abbott Laboratories and A.F. Ferguson & Co. (PwC). Since joining GTR in March 2018, he has been at the forefront of financial strategy, investor relations, risk management, and corporate governance.

Mr. Siraj is also a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance. His strategic insight and ability to navigate complex financial environments make him a key pillar of GTR’s executive leadership.

Mr. M. Arshad Ansari is the Senior General Manager of Plant & Projects at Ghandhara Tyre & Rubber Company Limited (GTR). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Turkey and brings with him over 30 years of hands-on experience in the tyre and rubber industry.

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Ansari has led multiple large-scale plant operations and project implementations, playing a key role in driving process efficiency, optimizing production, and integrating advanced technologies in tyre manufacturing. His deep technical knowledge, combined with a strategic approach to project management, has been instrumental in ensuring GTR’s operational excellence and capacity expansion. Passionate about innovation and continuous improvement, Mr. Ansari remains committed to upholding the highest standards in industrial performance and safety.

Mr. Muhammad Shahab Paracha is an Electronics Engineer with nearly 30 years of practical experience in process industries, including cement, textile, and rubber manufacturing. He has been serving Ghandhara Tyre & Rubber Company Limited (GTR) since 2000 and has held managerial roles since 2009. Currently, he leads the engineering and projects division as General Manager.

Mr. Paracha specializes in industrial automation, process control, and engineering management. He has played a key role in the successful implementation of the SAP PM module and ISO standards within the department, significantly contributing to operational efficiency and quality assurance.

Mr. Abdul Latif brings over 25 years of experience to his role as General Manager and Head of Quality Control at Ghandhara Tyres. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration, he leads a team of 60 professionals, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety and performance.

His expertise lies in developing quality systems, improving operational efficiency, and driving a culture of excellence. Mr. Latif’s leadership and commitment to continuous improvement have been central to maintaining our reputation for reliability and precision in the tyre manufacturing industry.

Mr. Muhammad Abid Javed is the Chief Information Officer at Ghandhara Tyre & Rubber Company Limited (GTR), with over 33 years of experience in IT strategy, digital transformation, and enterprise technology. At GTR, he has led key initiatives such as the migration from IBM AS/400 to SAP, automation of manufacturing processes, and implementation of robust cybersecurity and disaster recovery systems.

Before joining GTR, Mr. Javed worked with IBM Pakistan as a Senior System Administrator, where he managed operations for major banking clients and played a key role in system security and disaster recovery planning. His diverse expertise includes ERP (SAP), IT governance, digital forensics, and cybersecurity. He holds multiple certifications in SAP, cybersecurity, and IT compliance, and continues to drive innovation across GTR’s digital landscape.

Mr. Zia Akhtar serves as the Chief Internal Auditor at Ghandhara Tyre & Rubber Company Limited (GTR). A Certified Internal Control Auditor (CICA) from the Institute for Internal Controls (IIC), USA, and an MBA in Finance, Mr. Akhtar brings over 26 years of extensive experience in internal audit and risk management.

Throughout his career, he has played a vital role in aligning audit functions with organizational priorities and stakeholder expectations. His expertise spans across financial and operational, compliance, where he has consistently implemented best practices to enhance governance and transparency. Known for his analytical depth, Mr. Akhtar is committed to strengthening internal controls and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the company.

Mr. Baqar Aizaz Alam serve as General Manager Sales & Marketing at Ghandhara Tyre & Rubber Company Limited (GTR). Mr. Baqar is a dynamic sales leader with over 20 years of experience across the oil, automotive, and consumer electronics industries. he oversees nationwide sales, marketing, after-sales service, and supply chain operations with a portfolio exceeding PKR 25 billion annually.

Baqar has held leadership roles at prominent companies including Haier Pakistan, Dawlance, and Hascol Petroleum, where he consistently delivered high-impact growth through innovative strategies and strong team leadership. His core expertise lies in business development, distribution management, OEM client relations, and export market growth. He holds an MBA in Marketing and has completed advanced training in supply chain management and strategic leadership.

With a forward-thinking approach and a track record of driving market expansion, Baqar plays a key role in steering GTR’s commercial success.

Mr. Khan is a highly experienced corporate governance professional with over 25 years of expertise in Company Secretarial Practices, Corporate Law, Regulatory Affairs, and Office Administration. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Pakistan (FICS) and holds an MBA in Human Resource Management as well as an LLB from Government Islamia College, Karachi.

Since 2010, he has served in senior management roles across renowned domestic and multinational companies, consistently leading corporate compliance and governance initiatives with precision and integrity. His leadership background includes key positions such as Assistant Company Secretary, Company Secretary, and Deputy General Manager.

He has also successfully overseen the end-to-end listing process of companies on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, working in collaboration with Arif Habib Securities Limited. Notable examples include Siddiqsons Tin Plate Limited and Dost Steel Limited, where he ensured full regulatory compliance and smooth execution of IPO-related requirements.

With a deep understanding of corporate regulations and a proven track record in managing complex governance matters, Mr. Khan continues to play a critical role in upholding GTR’s compliance standards and corporate transparency.

As Chief Human Resources Officer at Ghandhara Tyres, Maaz Iqbal brings a wealth of cross-industry experience and a forward-thinking approach to human capital development. He has previously held leadership roles at MAL Pakistan Limited and Avery Dennison Corporation, where he led major HR transformation initiatives.
